There are just so many great stories about YURT LIVING the world over that this web site could be about!
This could be:
The story of how a small group of disabled veterans, disenchanted by the evil chicanery of a corrupt official, left their government-subsidized existence in Montana with only pocket knives and fishing poles, and were able to survive for nearly a decade by constructing a yurt made entirely from recyclable plastics……
… or it could be:
The story of a busload of cloistered nuns, survivors of a roadside crash in Central Mexico. Abandoned to their own devices by the superstitious mayor of a nearby small settlement called Chapielas, situated on the barren wastelands in the high plains of the Sierra de Picachos Mountains, this brave group of women pitched together by donating pieces of their clothing from their person and their baggage to create a yurt that has become the symbol of survival and perseverance to a generation of disgruntled youth the world over…….
….. or it could be:
The story of a feisty seventy-five year old retired engineer who headed west and created a wilderness compound, hoping to provide a level of adventure and education for his eight grandsons, desperate to keep them free from a life of gangs and drugs in inner city Detroit. This completely self-sustaining retreat, nestled in the mountains of central Idaho, is founded on the principles of free and open personal boundaries to provide a rite of passage in the wild…..
…… or it could be:
about that nice couple near Gowen City, Pennsylvania who just went up into the hills and set up a modest-sized yurt to raise kids, chickens and feral cats and survived by selling the eggs and kittens to local farmers and landowners. And who were eventually busted for trying to sell their kids.
..... or it could be about none of these things. It could be a figment of our collective imagination. But it isn't. It's almost actually about one of the above. So hang in there as we get started with our tale.

Better yet, drop me a line, let me know what you think about the state of things. I'd love to hear from you!
